Trap Game for the New England Patriots?

The New England Patriots take on the 4-11 Miami Dolphins Sunday afternoon in a must win game for the Patriots. A win will secure the team a first-round bye in the upcoming playoffs.

The Miami Dolphins have shown signs of improvements throughout the regular season.  The Dolphins are a different team from the last time the Patriots saw them back in week two. They have started to play better football under Coach Flores and have had competitive games.

The Patriots are also a different looking team. Back in week two, it looked like the Patriots were going to be unstoppable throughout the regular season with the depth they had at wide-receiver. With Antonio Brown and Josh Gordon, that opened up more opportunities for Julian Edelman. Now that both players are not on the team, the offense has stalled and has had some games that have been difficult to watch for Patriot fans.

However, last week, there were encouraging signs from the offense and everyone expects that to continue this week. This game is going to be like a playoff game to say the least. The Patriots are in need of a first-round bye because I cannot see this team making it to the big game if they have to play an extra week.

I expect the Patriots to take care of business tomorrow afternoon. However, hopefully, the team will not take the Dolphins lightly. The Dolphins are still an NFL professional football team and any professional team can beat any given team on any given Sunday.
