Tom Brady Writes Long Piece in Players’ Tribune
I know, you’re probably sick and tired of hearing Tom Brady news. Well, there’s no live sports going on right now, so deal with it! Tom Brady wrote a piece today in the Player’s Tribune titled, “The Only Way Is Through”.

A lot of people have been reading between the lines with this article. Let me give you now a few of my thoughts after reading this whole piece through.
Change
That was the big theme that Brady kept emphasizing. He needed a change. Personally, I don’t blame him. You could tell he was getting unhappy here. He realized there weren’t many weapons for him currently in New England. Now, he could go to Tampa Bay to throw to Mike Evans, Chris Godwin, and O.J. Howard? Why WOULDN’T he take that opportunity? Things were getting stale for Brady in New England. Change has hit everyone hard with COVID-19 sweeping the nation. Brady’s change is just a little bit different. But he’s getting it now.
Family
Brady mentions a lot about family in his article. He brings up his parents consistently for helping him in his early life. There’s the part talking about raising a family in Boston and how his two youngest kids will always consider themselves “New Englanders”. Obviously, family means a lot to Brady. The man has his priorities in check and loves his family.
Not Thanking Belichick
This was the biggest surprise of all. It also goes to show how bad the personal relationship between Belichick and Brady had gotten. Notice how Tom thanks Robert Kraft in the article. He mentions Belichick a few times in the article. But for all intents and purposes, Brady could hate Belichick’s guts now. Still, after 20 years of being with someone, a thank you is the least that Brady could have done. The duo did win six Super Bowls together after all. I’d love to be a fly on the wall to find out how Brady feels right this moment about his former head coach. I don’t know, seems sort of suspicious to me!
In Conclusion
It’s a solid read if you want to kill some time. Brady also mentions how excited he is to join the Buccaneers. But is it that he’s so excited to join Tampa Bay? Or is it that he just wanted out of New England that badly? That’s only a question that Brady can answer. It was time to move on for everyone.
