Tom Brady SHOULD Retire If He Wins Super Bowl LIII
Before all of you flip out, I’m throwing in a disclaimer to start. Are you sitting down and reading this carefully? Okay good. *Clears Throat* I AM A HUGE PATRIOTS FAN AND LOVE TOM BRADY!!
Okay excellent, that’s out of the way. Now, as I was saying; Tom Brady should retire if he wins on Sunday.
Obviously, Brady has put the retirement rumors to bed recently.
Look, I love Tom Brady and what he has done as a New England Patriot. But if he goes out on Sunday and wins his 6th Super Bowl ring, what more is there to prove?
He Already Has It All
Five Super Bowl titles, 14 Pro Bowl nods, three NFL regular season MVP awards, and many passing records broken is what Brady has on his NFL resume. So, if he wins Sunday, he’ll increase the Super Bowl total to six and most likely earn his fifth Super Bowl MVP award. I know the man loves football as much as I love sports as a whole, but what more do you need Tom?
This Would be a Storybook Ending!
This literally could not be more of a perfect ending to Brady’s career. Win your last ring against the same franchise that you won your first ring against? Come on, that stuff only appears in movies! Brady could literally have his final act be one that gives a whole region so much joy and that region would all love Tom Brady to go out on top.
The Patriots Rebuild Needs to Start at Some Point
Let’s face it Patriots fans, the rebuild is coming sooner rather than later. The Patriots need to start looking ahead to their future a little bit. Maybe, they could find a way to trade up in the upcoming NFL draft to get a Will Grier or Dwayne Haskins and have somebody learn under “The Patriot Way”. They have their running back of the future in Sony Michel (Hi Felger and Mazz!) and can protect any quarterback under the brilliant coaching of offensive line coach Dante Scarnecchia. Whoever comes in as the next quarterback will have multiple weapons at his disposal.
In Conclusion
Even though it might be painful to accept, Tom Brady SHOULD call it a career if he wins on Sunday night. But for now, let’s enjoy the Tom Brady’s non-stop hard work and determination to always win.
Man, will I miss him whenever he leaves!
