Time To Quit Whining & Move Forward! Pats Rebuild – 2021 Coming Soon
On a normal Tuesday, I would be writing about soccer and something cool happening in that world.
Today though, it is far from a normal Tuesday and I can’t help but to go off script here for a second.
Last Sunday, I saw my beloved New England Patriots fall to the our not-so-loved enemies, the Buffalo Bills. However, the fall wasn’t one I would say was unexpected. Buffalo has been riding high on their running game with Zach Moss and David Singletary looking very solid. Josh Allen continues to display his talents and on top of that, he has actual receivers in people like Cole Beasley and Stephon Diggs to name a few.
On the other hand, the Patriots are just completely $#!T out of luck to put it nicely. As I watched a desperate Cam Newton make a play to somewhat put us in contention to win the game though, that defensive play the Buffalo Bills Defense made was exactly what you would expect out of one the best defenses in the NFL. While i agree that it felt like heartbreak, I strongly agree with what Bill Belichick said earlier this week in an interview with WEEI.

Its Time To Get Real! Opportunities?
Listen, I totally related to how many of you are feeling. I felt that way too on Sunday but after thinking for a couple of days about the Patriots and the schedule we are facing along with what we have to work with, I quickly came to the realization that this is to be expected. The Cinderella story earlier in the year when we saw Superman signing with the Patriots, at the time, yeah I can’t say I wasn’t riding high on emotions. Especially as I expected Julian, N’Keal and Mohamed Sanu to actually be our strong offense.
As the year quickly progressed though, I think it is unfair to say that we expected this team to win against big teams with nothing to work with! Bill and Cam are not the blame here folks, hate to stir the pot but realistic speaking they are not to blame here especially when your cap space is so minuscule!
So, what can be done? Personally, Bill and RKK will need to be aggressive in this trade deadline and there are some good names available honestly.
I like the thoughts of a possible Michael Thomas trade but wouldn’t turn down the opportunity of maybe having Golden Tate or maybe even Will Fuller on the Pats honestly.
I know I’m not the only one wishing Michael Thomas on the Patriots!

The Stephon Gilmore Rumor…
Many of us know about the Stephon Gilmore trade rumor. While personally would hate to see DPOY Gilmore leave the Patriots, I think Bill has a very sharp edge here for a high value trade.
Gilmore’s home is on market. Listing says offers due by next Tuesday at 5 p.m. … one hour after NFL trade deadline. (H/T @GregHillWEEI …) https://t.co/yF2YidcsIX

Trading Gilmore could mean many great opportunities for the Patriots. However, it needs to come at the expense of a high value tight end for New England.
Yes, New England has to land a tight end and immediately! While I’m not high on Zach Ertz, I wouldn’t mind that option but personally I’d like to see David Njoku or Kyle Rudolph.
While it would be awesome if we could land any of those three names, the question is still very much in the air as to what the hoodie would do in this case. Unfortunately, another wait and see game here.
2021 NFL Draft – Possible Targets?
While some may think it’s too early to think of who to draft in the 2021 NFL Draft, some may think its appropriate.
I personally believe New England has to be active and extremely engaged in the upcoming draft. The thoughts of drafting names like Trevor Laurence, Justin Fields, Devonta Smith, and many others has got to be the focus for Kraft and company.
Should Cam Newton be traded or released next year, it is clear that we can’t simply depend on Brian Hoyer and Jarrett Stidham. Would anyone oppose having Justin Fields? Seriously though, dude has been electric!
Justin Fields was spooky good in Ohio State's win over Penn State 👻

In Conclusion…
While it has been a very hard season to watch, we have to be realistic and be reminded that every great team falls at some point, then rises again! As a diehard Patriots Fan and Boston Sports Fan, I like to remind you this is not new to us by any means. We’ve seen the Red Sox fall and rebuild, we’ve seen our Celtics fall and rebuild, we’ve seen the Bruins go thru changes. Why should it be any different for the Patriots?
We have to move on from Tom Brady and the years we had, this is our time to rebuild and to compare what Brady is doing with Tampa Bay is simply unrealistic. Tampa has the money, they been on rebuild mode and having TB12 there on his last years was just simply icing on the cake.
We have a saying here in New England, #InBillWeTrust! It can’t be any more truthful at this moment in time especially after years of being spoiled with titles. Sure, this weekend felt like getting kicked in the taint repeatedly. However, we must move on and quite whining! We are title town and this too shall pass.
