TIGER IS BACK: What Does That Mean?

Look I know we’ve all heard this story before. Hurt back, has surgery, says he took his time and now he announces he’s back just in time to play in his own tournament.

Yeah that was last Fall.

Then today, this:

No shock to anyone he chooses the comfort of his own tourney, the Hero World Challenge, the come back to the world of professional golf. We all knew he was close when doing interviews at the President’s Cup as the assistant. Also releasing these videos:

Then, there was the last one. It seemed he wanted to make a Star Wars pun. However, he looked great hitting the stinger he has used in so many great memories over the years…

Look, I’m not saying he’s going to be Tiger of old, because he probably won’t be. However, I’M PRAYING that comes damn close. I’m a golf nut. I follow it and know that Spieth, JT, Ricky Fowler etc. etc. are good for the game. The problem is there are too many. No single golfer has taken the game and said “it’s mine.” Tiger can’t do that anymore. But he did it.

Tiger Woods IS golf.

He plays the weekend of Nov 30 – Dec. 3. In his post, Tiger just sounded off that he’s excited to get going.

“I am excited to return to competitive golf at the Hero World Challenge,” Woods said. “Albany is the perfect setting and it will be great to join this outstanding field. I want to thank Pawan Munjal and Hero MotoCorp for their continued support of this tournament and my foundation. I would also like to thank the fans for their unwavering support during my injury.”

Watch his return closely. This is for sure the last chance he has to become a constant on The Tour again. He claimed he took it slow to make sure he did it right this time. There’s no question his playing days are almost up. Enjoy this last “comeback” for whatever it becomes. Hopefully greatness spills over one last time.
