There’s No Way the Patriots Get Odell Beckham Jr.
From @gmfb: My understanding is that #Giants WR Odell Beckham Jr will not set foot on a field without a new contract extension agreed to — with the #Giants or any team. … This comes a day after owner John Mara said no one is “untouchable” in trade talks.

Giants have asked for at least two first-round picks in return for Odell Beckham Jr., a league source tells ESPN, even though team insists it is not shopping him.
Doesn’t mean they get it, or close to it, or even trade OBJ. But they have asked for at least two first-round picks.

Man, wouldn’t it be nice if the Patriots swung a trade for Odell Beckham Jr.?
Last time the Pats traded for one of the most talented wideouts in the league, they only had to give up a fourth-round pick for Randy Moss. Now the chance to acquire a young game-changing WR has come again, but I don’t think it’ll happen this time around. Back when NE got Moss, you could get away with deals like the one they did. The Raiders were practically begging teams to take him off their hands. That isn’t the case here, which is why I can’t see Bill biting on two first-round picks. The Giants desire to get rid of Beckham just isn’t anywhere close to what the Raiders desire to get rid of Moss was.
Personally, I would punt on this year and next year’s first-round picks if it meant that it would get OBJ in the door & signed to an extension.
Not only is he one of my favorite players in the league, but he’s also a god damn stud. There’s no denying that. And although he may be a drama queen at times, it’s clear that his passion comes from his love for the game. Like everyone else in the NFL, he’s a competitor. He’s just a little extra when it comes to portraying his emotions. If you place the guy in a winning environment, I’m sure he’d be just fine. And he LOVES Tom Brady, so I think he wouldn’t have a problem getting acclimated.

Beckham is a star.
If he does wind up getting traded, he will instantly turn whatever lucky team acquires him into a competitor. And the scary part is, he’s only get better. But based on the approach by the Patriots that we’ve all seen this off-season, a trade of this magnitude just seems unlikely for them.
