The Wide Receiver Setting The NFL Combine On Fire

For those of you who haven’t been paying attention to the NFL combine, let me educate you on a name to keep tabs on:

D.K. Metcalf.

Before setting the combine on fire, he set Twitter on fire when pictures of him went viral.

DAYUM…….

Seriously D.K. what’s your workout plan. I need to get on that. Not only does he look like a Greek God but he performed like a top-flight prospect at the combine too.

D.K. measured in at 6’3″ and 228lbs with an alleged 1.6% body fat, which I’m pretty sure is impossible but whatever. He ran a 4.33 second 40-yard dash at that weight! Not only that but he then had the highest bench rep total for a wide receiver since 2003 with 27(obviously right, tbh kinda surprised it wasn’t like 50 or something). He also tied for third with a 40.5 inch vertical.

So how exactly does this stack up to receivers we all know?

Well, he’s just a little smaller than what Calvin Johnson was when he came into the league. His 40 time? Faster than Antonio Brown, Julio Jones, and as fast as Brandin Cooks. He bench pressed more times than Khalil Mack did when he was at the combine. A 40.5 inch vertical is also higher than Julio’s as well.

Metcalf’s combine performance has launched him up NFL draft boards. Coming into the combine, he was considered between a third and fifth-round prospect, in part due to the season-ending neck injury he suffered this past year at Ole Miss. So where does he stand now? Based on what I’ve seen he’s at the top or at least in the top 3 of the wide receiver draft boards across the league. He’s widely considered WR1 now. D.K. may very well be a top 20 pick now, assuming he has a strong pro-day as well.

Job well done D.K. and seriously hit me up with that workout plan.
