The Red Sox Gear Up For An Important Series

The Boston Red Sox have the best record in all of baseball, but the Yankees are right behind them. The crazy thing about it is that they both play in the AL East. As of right now, the Sox are 5.5 games ahead of the Yankees. With a four-game series between the two rivals starting tomorrow night, anything could happen.

Looking at the pitching matchups, I have to give the edge to the Yankees (Johnson/Sabathia, Porcello/Severino, Eovaldi/Happ, and Price/Tanaka). However, the Red Sox have the edge when it comes to driving in runs. Personally, I think Boston will win three games out of the four. This offense is legit, and the only bad pitching matchup is Johnson vs Sabathia (Not really worried about CC).

This series is absolutely huge for both teams. The Red Sox have an opportunity to close the door on the Yankees and make it harder for them to claw their way back. These four games without Sale will also show a lot about this young/hungry team.
