July 31st marks the date that 22 NBA teams will start their 8 regular season games to establish playoffs. There are a lot of teams outside the playoff window right now that could pose a serious threat in both conferences. Players will be returning with a fair amount of “rust” on them. Anything could happen in this unprecedented ending to the season. What does this mean for the Celtics? It’s never too early to start thinking about the NBA draft. The Celtics have some glaring needs that they can address in this particularly deep draft class. But, who will they take? Connor, Liam, and Dante each give two prospects likely to be on the board when the Boston is on the clock come the 25th. The Celtics have shown their efforts in keeping their young core together giving Jaylen Brown a $90 Million deal at the beginning of this season. Come next season it will be Jayson Tatum’s turn. He’s in line for the biggest extension in Boston Celtics history, but does he deserve it?
