The Quarantine Diaries – I Am Addicted To Mountain Monsters

The days have gotten longer, the hours crawl by, and I forget what having human interactions is like.  This is – The Quarantine Diaries. (Duh Duhhhh)

While we all have tried to fill our days with something productive by day whatever the hell this is we have all surely failed. If you are feeling bad about being an unproductive garbage person don’t be so hard on yourself. You are not alone. Every single one of us non-essentials has reached that point. Or maybe I am just projecting, who knows maybe you are just lazy. Regardless of your shortcomings you have most certainly reached the same point as me.  That point is mindlessly looking for something new to watch that you don’t get bored of in 30 seconds. These truly are trying times as in a matter of weeks I have completely lost my ability to pay attention to anything.

That was until I stumbled upon a hidden treasure scrolling through OnDemand, Mountain Monsters. I mean, just a wildly unbelievable show.  It is about a group of 6 hillbillies who are hunting unexplained sightings in the Appalachian Mountains, all of which wear the exact same clothes for about 1 full season at a time. They hunt all sorts of different bigfoots. I thought there was only 1 bigfoot but boy was I wrong.  They hunt a half feline half dog that they have blurry videos of (conveniently also 1 second long). And in the later seasons, they have even dipped their toes into the paranormal activity and secret society game.

It is truly nonsense and I can’t take my eyes off it.  At the beginning I genuinely believe that they believe what they are doing is real and unscripted but there is a point in the later season where they are just blatantly staging shit and its hysterical.  Mostly because they are bad actors.  Except for Wild Bill. I truly believe he has no idea this is all clearly fake.  They are sneaking around in the woods in hushed tones and he just starts screaming at the top of his lungs.  It is one of the funniest things in the world to me. He has no sense of awareness.

I also know it is staged because there is a gentleman that has to be pushing 450 and 1) he is never winded and 2) they never show him getting in or out of his truck and I know it has to be hilarious. 10/10 would recommend this show.

As a reward for reading this article here is a compilation of Wild Bill.
