The Patriots Lost A Game…So What?
This is a weird Monday for us New England Patriots fans. The Patriots are coming off an odd 37-20 loss to the Baltimore Ravens last night. Did anybody else have a bad feeling about this game coming in like I did? I don’t know, this game just felt different. It felt like it wasn’t going to be the Patriots night. Well…

like the tweet says, it wasn’t our night. But here’s the thing Patriots fans. Everything is going to be okay, I promise! Here are a few reasons why.
That’s The Toughest Game Of The Season
New England typically struggles with Baltimore. It was a road game, Sunday Night football, and the Patriots first real test of the season. Baltimore is legit. Lamar Jackson is turning into a solid dual threat quarterback. They have a strong running back with Mark Ingram and good receivers with Willie Snead and Marquise “Hollywood” Brown. Their tight end production has been fantastic all season. Their run defense is top five in the NFL. The point is that Baltimore is a true contender in the AFC. Don’t get me wrong, the Patriots can beat the Ravens. But, it’s going to take a well-played game to get the win.
The Patriots Didn’t Play Like The Patriots

I mean, look at some of these terrible mistakes by the Patriots. Julian Edelman fumbling? Tom Brady throwing a careless interception? We don’t see this happen often. When it does happen, it usually means that they lose. Not only those mistakes, but the horrific penalties on third and fourth down to keep drives alive? The huge holes the Ravens running game were able to capitalize on? Again, these are mistakes and miscues the Patriots typically minimize on a week to week basis. Mark my words, this is probably the worst game the Patriots play the whole season.
The Schedule Gets Easier
The next four games get a little bit easier. You start in two weeks with a Philadelphia Eagles team that is struggling to find their identity. Then, you have the Dallas Cowboys who are a mystery week to week. After that, there’s the Texans who lost J.J. Watt for the season and can’t seem to beat the Patriots at all. Finally, there’s the Kansas City Chiefs who have one of the worst defenses in the NFL. After those games, you get the Bengals, Bills at home, and Dolphins at home. Again, it could be a lot worse.
In Conclusion
It’s one game. The sun will rise and set. We’ll all be getting through our Mondays per usual. The Patriots will fix what needs to be fixed. Remember, they’re still 8-1 and at the top of the AFC. Shake it off and be ready for a different Patriots team come November 17th at 4:25 PM EST. We’re on to Philadelphia!
