The NHL Announces Start Times for All 2021-22 Bruins Games

Earlier today, the NHL finally announced the start times for every team’s games this season. But, the broadcast schedule is still to be announced. Obviously, that means we now know what time the Bruins’ games will start this season. Below you’ll find lists of notable games and stretches, as well as the full schedule. Home games will be in bold. Please note that this is all subject to change if the NHL does not go to the Olympics. It seems like they will, but an agreement has yet to be reached, so it’s important to keep in mind.

Clear Your Schedules for These Big Bruins Games

While we still don’t know when theme games such as Hockey Fights Cancer and Pride Night are going to be, there are several games that we already know to be notable for a few reasons. They include the season and home opener, Willie O’Ree jersey retirement, the Seattle Kraken’s first game at TD Garden, and more. You can find them all below.

First Games Against Rivals
  • Toronto: Saturday, November 6th @ 7:00 pm ET (away game).
  • Montreal: Sunday, November 14th @ 7:00 pm ET (home game).
  • Tampa Bay: Saturday, December 4th @ 7:00 pm ET (home game).
Other Big Games
  • Season and home opener: Saturday, October 16th @ 7:00 pm vs Dallas ET.
  • Willie O’Ree jersey retirement game: Tuesday, January 18th @ 7:00 pm ET vs Carolina.
  • Seattle Kraken’s first visit to Boston: Tuesday, February 1st @ 7:00 pm ET.
  • Bruins’ first visit to Seattle: Thursday, February 24th @ 10:00 pm ET.

Notable Stretches

In addition to the big games above, there are a few stretches in the Bruins schedule to keep in mind, such as long road trips, homestands, and the Olympic break. Check those out below.

  • Olympic and All-Star Break: Wednesday, February 2nd-Wednesday, February 23rd*.
  • Western Canada road trip: Wednesday, December 8th-Saturday, December 11th.
  • California road trip: Saturday, February 26th-Tuesday, March 1st.
  • Longest road trip: Thursday, February 24th-Saturday, March 5th (10 days, six games vs SEA, LAK, SJS, ANA, VGK, and CBJ).
  • Longest homestand: Thursday, January 13th-Monday, January 24th (12 days, six games vs PHI, NSH, CAR, WSH, WPG, ANA).

*The NHL All-Star weekend will take place in Las Vegas from February 4-5th. The Olympic break officially starts on February 2nd and officially ends on February 22nd, but the Bruins do not play again until the 24th.
