The NBA is Simply Way Too Predictable

The Celtics are preparing for game five of their series back in Boston. The series has gone back and forth with the home team winning every game so far. This series is going seven.

However, it doesn’t matter.

This team is the number one seed and even if they win this series, they will barely sniff a game against the defending champions from Cleveland. People don’t like to hear this because it might ruin the fun…but it doesn’t.

It just means the NBA Playoffs are just predictable and boring. Everyone knew at the beginning of the season that the rematch would be taking place. There simply isn’t any competition for the two teams. This will be the third straight season they play each other in the finals if it were to happen.

Look at the Cavs. They just swept the Toronto Raptors for another trip to the Eastern Conference Finals. They haven’t lost a game yet this postseason and they just played the team that was supposed to be the threat to take the crown from the champs.

They weren’t even close!

Now to the west. The Golden State Warriors won the most games in a single-season last year, but blew a 3-1 lead in the NBA Finals. Then they added one of the best players on the planet to add to the party.

Now, they too haven’t lost a game yet this postseason and just made good Utah Jazz team look like they were playing middle school rec ball at the local YMCA. This league is a joke when it comes to competition.

So, the Celtics may still beat the Wizards, go to the Eastern Conference Finals and exceed all expectations while still having a shot at the number one pick in the NBA Draft; It just doesn’t matter.

This league is preset to have the same teams be good, the same teams be bad, and the rest live in NBA purgatory.

The Golden State Warriors are your 2017 NBA Champions…again.
