The Lion King Poster and Trailer Finally Drops!

Happy Thanksgiving everyone! I hope you had a great day of food and being thankful. You also better be thanking Walt Disney Studios because from the trees, the trailer for the live action remake of The Lion King was dropped.

For me personally, The Lion King is widley considered one of the greatest animated movies ever made and one of my 10 favorite films of all-time.

While I have been 50/50 on the Disney live action remakes, I am beyond excited for this. Here is the teaser poster below featuring young Simba.

A simple but fantastic poster as it shows young Simba following in the paw prints of his father, Mufasa. I can’t believe how good Simba looks because that is NOT a real lion cub, THAT’S CGI. WOW! Here is the full trailer below.

I mean, who didn’t get chills there? James Earl Jones back as Mufasa narrating over the trailer is perfect and playing the iconic song “Circle of Life” was amazing.

The only complaint I have is that Simba doesn’t have a red mane. I know that this is supposed to be realistic in a sense but it’s a movie with talking lions. WHY CAN’T HIS MANE BE RED?

But whatever, here is the full cast of the upcoming movie.

I like most of the cast expect for Beyonce as Nala and Chiwetel Ejiofor as Scar.

Let’s face it, Beyonce is here for music and not for voice acting ability. As for Ejiofor, he’s a great actor but they should have got Jeremy Irons back to voice Scar.

He is as iconic as Scar as James Earl Jones is as Mufasa. But once again, just minor complaints. Donald Glover is one of the biggest stars in the world and I know he’ll kill it as Simba.
