The Disrespect LeBron James is Giving to Lakers Fans Is Baffling

Straight up, if I’m a Lakers fan, I’m rioting in the streets. I’m a Celtics fan so I have no desire to root for LA and I’m loving every second of their entire existence crumbling in front of the world. But watching LeBron James play these past few weeks has been so gross and lazy. It’s just blatant disrespect to Lakers fans everywhere.

This is coming after last night when he let the ball roll past half court. And guess what? Once someone contested it, the ball went out of bounds and right back into the hands of Denver.

I know that the Celtics have had some trying times this season, but this just sucks if I’m rooting for this team and this guy. We know that there were a ton of mixed emotions when LeBron decided to take his talents to LA, but to put in this little effort and just give up on the season like this is not the storyline I imagined.

I mean damn, have some pride. Give the Lakers fans some sort of excitement and act like you aren’t there to coast for the rest of your career, huh? The other night, Kyle Kuzma had to SHOVE LeBron into playing defense.

Like, are we serious, man? Again, I’m a Celtics fan. I am LOVING watching these guys come unraveled at the seams. It’s amazing. But if I’m a fan of this franchise, I’m calling for some sort of drastic change.

Can you put any of this blame on Magic Johnson? No. If the greatest player in the world–now debatable–wants to come and play for your team, there’s no chance in hell you’re saying no. None. But you gotta expect effort at all points in the season.

There was a point not too long ago where we heard that “playoff mode” was going to be “activated”. Yeah? Playoff mode?

I’m just here to be a representative for Lakers fans in this trying time. I mean, you guys are a storied franchise. You’ve had legend after legend rock the purple out in Hollywood. And now this is what you’re forced to watch every single night?

Look, I understand that he doesn’t have the best talent surrounding him. But honestly, there’s enough to get you to the God damn eighth seed.

I’m not saying that you should, I don’t know, call for the release of LeBron James. I would never say that. I would never even hint at it. But you know… You gotta do what you gotta do sometimes.

It’s been so sad to watch this year. We’ve thought they were going to get better and I’m sitting here on March 7th watching a LeBron James led team looking in from OUTSIDE of the playoff picture. What a time to be alive. What’s next? The host of The Apprentice becomes President of the United States?

And by the way, the worst casualty in this entire situation is Rondo.

He doesn’t even want to be a part of this anymore.
