The Celtics Need To Sign Nikola Vucevic This Offseason

Most people are talking about this upcoming series between the Celtics and the Bucks. Right Now I am thinking about how the Celtics can improve their roster next season. Orlando Magic All-Star Center Nikola Vucevic will be a free agent this summer and the Celtics should go after him.

Who is Nikola Vucevic? Well, this man can flat out play in the post. This year he had his best season yet scoring 20.8 points per game and grabbing 12 rebounds per game. Vucevic is one of the better centers in the game that no one recognizes.  I love Aron Baynes ( Current Celtics Center) however, Vucevic is a massive upgrade. This would just add another scoring option and would clearly make the Celtics the best team in the East.

Obviously, it would be nice if the Celtics went out and traded for Anthony Davis, but signing Vucevic would be the smarter move. The Celtics wouldn’t have any of the Davis drama and they wouldn’t have to give up young key players. The thing is, Vucevic will to want to get paid. The Celtics most likely won’t be able to offer the contract Vucevic will be asking for.
