The Celtics Have BIG Problems
The Boston Celtics are not the team everyone thought they would be at this point in the season. With a record of 9-8, the C’s are struggling to put up points. They rank 24th in the NBA putting up 105.8 points per game.
Here is what’s going wrong
Gordon Hayward is still trying to find himself as a player. He is scoring 9.8 points per game and that is unacceptable. However, I still think Hayward has it in him to get back to the player he used to be. He is getting the great open looks, he just has to execute. That will come with time.
Jaylen Brown, Jayson Tatum, and Marcus Smart overachieved last season. After what these three players did for us last season, we thought they would be stars this in 2018-19. Last years injury of Hayward brought these players together and they all had something to prove. They were riding the high of being underdogs and trying to go beyond everyone expectations. There are too many egos and talented players on this team. You can tell that the Celtics have problems with deciding who will get shots in certain scenarios.
Danny Ainge needs to mix this team up. He needs to find a couple of players that will help this team. But right now, no one wants players like Hayward and Smart since they are performing so poorly.
