The Celtics Are Looking To Make Some Noise At The NBA Draft
The Celtics seem to be in the news almost every day now. First, it was the LeBron stuff, then it was Kawhi. Now the Celtics are looking at the possibility of trading up in the NBA draft to get Luka Doncic.
Before trading higher into the draft, it’s important to know what position players the Celtics need. As of right now, the Celtics do not need any of these players to come in and start right away. For the most part, the Celtics are solid at every position. However, it would be nice to add a solid shooter and rim protector to the bench. There are a couple seven footers in the draft, but Ayton is locked up as the number one pick.
If you don’t know who Doncic is, then you are missing out. Doncic is a 19-year-old European basketball star. He has been a European pro for a while now and is proving that he is one of the best young players in the world. At 6”7 Doncic is a phenomenal shooter and is not scared to shoot his shot.
Is it worth it for the Celtics to climb up the draft board and grab Doncic? I believe that the Celtics will and should find a way to get a top-five pick in this year’s draft. There’s so much talent within the first 10 picks of this draft, and the C’s have the opportunity to make things happen. For example, the C’s have an abundance of draft picks in next years draft. They can also trade away players like Morris, and Rozier if needed.
The Celtics are 100% going to make a move tomorrow night. It may be to trade up into the first 10 picks of the draft, or even to get Kawhi. You never really know what Danny Ainge has in store for Boston.
