The Buffalo Sabres front office might be the worst in sports
The Buffalo Sabres have finally ended the Jack Eichel drama. Buffalo has traded Eichel to the Vegas Golden Knights for a package of players and draft picks.

Eichel’s time with the Sabres was filled with high hopes and expectations but ultimately riddled with injuries and front office mismanagement.
On Wednesday night, rumors were swirling that the Sabres and Flames we’re discussing a blockbuster trade. The Flames reportedly would have traded Matthew Tkachuk and draft picks for Eichel.
Instead the Sabres ended up finalizing a deal with the Golden Knights. Vegas has been linked to the Eichel for some time and finally pulled the trigger on a deal. Sabres general manager Kevyn Adams got some value back for his star center but ultimately it feels like he took the lesser deal with Vegas.

Adams as of late has made many moves resulting in the constant rebuild in Buffalo. The negotiations for Eichel has felt more like a skit from Family Guy than a NHL general manager maximizing his star asset.
Buffalo has seen multiple first round picks, coaches and general managers and they still can’t get it right. Ultimately Eichel’s neck surgery is going to be the make or break on whether this was a great deal.
The former No. 2 overall pick gets a fresh start and the Eichel saga comes to an end with Jacky Bright Lights headed to Vegas. Once healthy, Eichel will flourish under the bright Vegas lights. In addition, Eichel and Connor McDavid are in the same division, you can’t script a better rivalry moving forward.
