The Best Snacks For The NFL Postseason

Happy Fun Friday football fans! Tomorrow officially kicks off the NFL postseason. This is arguably one of the best times of the year. The NFL postseason brings out the best in the teams, fans, and the food. Especially the food! If these were normal times, I’d say throw a party for the first weekend of the postseason. But, since were still in a pandemic, don’t do that! What you can do instead, if still have all the food you would normally have, just at a smaller size. Now that it is the postseason, here are the top five snacks/food people should be having to enjoy the games.

1. Chicken Wings

Admit it, you’re drooling. This is a classic for all sports fans. Now that it’s the postseason, go visit Buffalo Wild Wings if you haven’t yet at all this season. Yes, they do takeout! Bills fans this year get the pleasure of watching their team at home and have chicken wings. Why am I specifically mentioning the Bills Mafia? Let’s face it, wings in Buffalo hit different from the rest of the country. Chicken wings should always be on the menu now that were in the playoffs.

2. Sliders

Who’s hungry? Sliders are dangerous. Many sliders can be comsumed in one sitting which is not good (but also good at the same time). It’s not just burger sliders that are great. Chicken sliders and ham and cheese sliders are just as good. Burger, chicken and ham and cheese sliders all present great flavor. You can never go wrong with an assortment of sliders. They make life better, they’re that good.

3. Nachos

Another classic that you can’t go wrong with. Now when I say nachos, I don’t mean go to Taco Bell and order their nachos. Don’t get me wrong those are great and all, but they can’t compete with homemade. Go to the grocery store and buy all the ingredients and put them all together. Don’t microwave the cheese either, put everything in the oven. Specifically with nachos, the more flavor there is, the better they are. On a personal note, I can’t have guacamole, which is a staple for nachos so I’ll never understand the true flavor of supreme nachos.

4. Pigs in a Blanket

The ultimate finger food. Pigs in a Blanket hold an elite status that will forever be untouchable. You literally cannot go wrong with these bad boys. Not only are pigs in a blanket the ultimate finger food, it is also one of the many ultimate comfort foods. If you haven’t had pigs in a blanket before, you haven’t lived. These are very easy to make, and are very delicious. Again if these were normal times, I would bring these to a party.

5. Chips and Dip

Chips and dip is a classic. Yes, there’s already nachos, but chips and dip normally get the party started before all the other food becomes available. Any kind of dip is perfectly acceptable. But if I were to a favorite, I’m going with buffalo chicken dip. Buffalo chicken dip wakes up the taste buds and gets them ready for the night they are about to have. If you put me infront of buffalo chicken dip, don’t expect me to share. No postseason party is complete without the chips and the dip. This is a must have.
