Imagine being on the Mets bus on your way back to New York and this guy is dancing on your grave pic.twitter.com/ppIloxeAOi— rone’s gamblin corner (@_rone) August 17, 2020
I love Philadelphia. I mean I hate it with every fiber of my being for what they put me through. But I love it so much. This guy made a conscious effort to drive to the stadium, stand in the street, and heckle professional athletes. It’s not like he was at the game. There’s no fans allowed there. It’s just a bananas decision.
It just goes to show you, you can’t keep Philly down. It’s been a disappointing start to the season. The bullpen is so bad I heard a rumor they are considering signing Vance Worley. He’s a goggle wearing disaster of a pitcher. But he would still be the most feared man in their bullpen. Yuck. They inexplicably haven’t signed J.T. Realmuto for the rest of his career yet. The defense is a disaster. Hoskins, McCutchen, and Kingery have yet to show up. But that can’t stop us.
They swept the Mets and are sitting 2 games out of first place in the East. Why the hell wouldn’t we be standing in the street screaming at Mets players. We are all the way back. Things are coming up Philly left and right. Start mapping out the parade route. Somebody call Chase Utley and tell him to prepare his speech.
I know what you are thinking. Jon you’re overreacting. It’s just 3 wins against a terrible team. But it’s not. This is reality people. We are back. We can just close our eyes and pretend the problems don’t exist. The Phillies are heading into a series against a Red Sox team who is somehow worse than they are. The Kings of the East are alive and well. Grab your popcorn everyone. The show is about to begin.
