Start Your Week Out Right with Jarrett Stidham Highlights
There’s no sports on right now. Yes, I know this has been tough on all of us. Especially for Patriots fans like myself, Tom Brady leaving after 20 seasons certainly doesn’t help. We’re looking at the very realistic possibility of having second year quarterback Jarrett Stidham under center for the Patriots in 2020. People might be thinking, “Well, he’s unproven” or “Well, he threw a pick-six in his only action in 2019”. These are true. But, let’s take a look at some of the highlights from college and last preseason to ease our tensions a bit. Let’s start the week out right with some Jarrett Stidham highlights, shall we?!
The Auburn Days
Stidham wasn’t like Tua at Alabama or Joe Burrow at LSU. But, the kid could play some ball! Look at some of the throws he’s making in this highlight tape. His pocket presence and poise looked great. The deep ball was accurate and leading receivers. Personally, I think Stidham doesn’t get enough credit for having a solid career as an Auburn Tiger. Did he win a National Championship? No. But, did he prove he can handle playing in the NFL sufficiently? Absolutely yes!
Patriots Preseason 2019
This is where we saw a glimpse of the future. We saw a bit of what is going to make this kid special for years to come. There was also a glimpse of something special that could happen with a connection between him and receiver Jakobi Meyers. I was a big fan of Stidham after watching him in the preseason. There were even times in blowouts where I was begging for Bill to give the kid some reps. Obviously in 2020, Stidham should get more reps and Patriots fans should be excited to see that. Until then, enjoy some preseason football highlights from the kid!
In Conclusion
These should ease your fears in 2020. Stidham can be a very good NFL starting quarterback. Plus, what else are you going to do? Play video games for 6 hours? I’ve already done that and can’t do it everyday during this pandemic! So to get us a little bit closer to sports being back in our lives, here’s something to ease the burden.
