Fantasy Start ’em

Quarterback

Kirk Cousin vs NO– Cousins is the 5th best fantasy QB this season and he’s going to perform like it on Sunday.  This is a huge rematch where the Saints are hungry for redemption after last season.  But I expect Cousins to step up to the plate and show everyone why the Vikings paid him so much money.  He’s locked in as a QB1 this week.

Running Back

Lamar Miller vs Mia  –  With Deshaun Watson dealing with some injuries last week the Texans rode Miller for 22 carries, 100 yards and a TD.  I don’t expect those injuries to go away on a short week so I expect a heavy dose of Lamar Miller on Thursday night.

Wide Receiver

Jarvis Landry @ Pit – Week 1 Landry had 7 catched for 106 yards against the Steelers in a game that the Browns tied.  The Browns want this win so bad I can feel it from my couch.  Last week they found success with Landry and I expect it to happen again this week.  Landry is a WR1 in PPR formats this week.

Tight End

O.J. Howard @ Cin –  Howard is in line for a big week. It seems he is Jameis Winston’s favorite target not named Mike Evans and the Bengals defense hasn’t been good at holding down tight ends this year.

Fantasy Sit ’em

Quarterback

Matthew Stafford vs. Sea–  Two weeks ago I said to sit Derek Carr versus the Seahawks because their defense has been solid against the pass this year.  Well they are now the #1 fantasy defense versus opposing QBs.  AND KJ Wright is coming back from injury. I don’t think Stafford is a top 15 play this week.

Running Back

Carlos Hyde vs. Phi  –  This will be Hyde’s first game as a Jaguar, and it will probably be his worst.  Going up against an Eagles defense who is allowing the second least fantasy points to opposing running backs, and in a committee with TJ Yeldon, AND a small knowledge of the playbook.  Hyde shouldn’t be in lineups this week

Wide Receiver

Alshon Jeffery @ Jax – Jeffery has found success in 3 of his 4 starts this season, but I expect the opposite Sunday when he lines up against Jalen Ramsay.  The Jags are probably very disappointed in their recent efforts and will have something to prove against the defending super bowl champs.

Tight End

Kyle Rudolph vs NO –  Rudolph has been underwhelming this year, and I don’t expect that to change against the Saints defense who is ranked 4th in defending opposing fantasy tight ends.
