Fantasy Start ’em

Quarterback

Jared Goff @ SF– Goff is coming off his worst performance last week at Denver, but the Rams offense was rolling.  I expect the 9ers to key in on the run this week to avoid letting up 208 rushing yards to Todd Gurley like the Broncos did last week.  So Goff is gonna have a good week against a bottom tier passing defense.

Running Back

Joe Mixon @ KC  –  Mixon is the centerpiece of the Bengals offensive attack, if Mixon is rolling, the Bengals are rolling.  The Chiefs just allowed 106 yards and 2 rushing touchdowns to Sony Michel last week.  Mixon is an RB1 with a great matchup.

Wide Receiver

Adam Thielen @ NYJ – To be completely honest, if you have Thielen, you’re starting him.  But this week he gets the Jets defense who have allowed 5 touchdowns to wide receivers in the past 3 weeks.  Thielen will feast this week for sure.

Tight End

David Njoku @ TB –  Last week Njoku caught his first touchdown of the year and this week he has a good chance of finding the end zone again.  This week the Browns get the Bucs defense who has allowed the most fantasy points to opposing tight ends and has allowed a touchdown to opposing tight ends in each of their last 3 games.

Fantasy Sit ’em

Quarterback

Andrew Luck vs. Buf–  Luck has been performing pretty well in terms of fantasy football, but I don’t expect that to continue this week.  Over the last 4 weeks the Bills defense has allowed only 3 passing touchdowns, and over those games quarterbacks are averaging only 8.6 fantasy points a week.  Luck shouldn’t be in lineups this week.

Running Back

Christian McCaffery @ Phi– Before last week the Eagles hadn’t allowed more than 55 yards to an opposing rusher, and last week the Panthers offense did not look that great.  Also McCaffery only has one touchdown all year so I don’t expect him to score well this week.

Wide Receiver

Demaryius Thomas @ Ari– Thomas has been decent this year but this week he will be shadowed by Patrick Peterson.  I don’t think that Case Keenum will be able to get it to him through that tough coverage.  Thomas is on my bench this week.

Tight End

Jordan Reed vs. Dal –  Reed has been pretty brutal so far.  He’s getting the targets so the volume is there but he just isn’t producing the numbers.  This week the Redskins get the Cowboys who have allowed the 5th least fantasy points to tight ends on the year.  Reed is on my bench if you have a better option.
