Fantasy Start ’em

Quarterback

Marcus Mariota @ Ind– Mariota hasn’t been the fantasy QB we expected him to be this season, but the last couple weeks he has been heating up.  In the last 2 weeks he has averaged 22 fantasy points and this week he gets the Colts.  The Colts have allowed 564 passing yards and 5 passing touchdowns in their last two games, to Derek Carr and Blake Bortles.  I think Mariota is a better QB than both of them right now.  Expect a solid week from Mariota.

Running Back

Aaron Jones @ Sea  – The Seahawks haven’t been great against the run the last couple weeks, allowing 254 rushing yards and 2 touchdowns on 35 carries in their last two games.  Coming off a hot week, I think Aaron Jones has a good stat line Thursday night.

Wide Receiver

Alshon Jeffery @ NO – Jeffery hasn’t been great recently, but this is the week he turns it around.  Going up against the Saints, I expect this one to be a high scoring shootout.  The Eagles are going to have to be able to air the ball out downfield to stay in this one and Jefferey will have a big game.

Tight End

Vance McDonald @ Jax –  Last time these two teams matched up, McDonald was targeted 16 times because of the tight coverage on the outside.  I expect that to be the case this Sunday too.  Expect McDonald to have a big game this week.

Fantasy Sit ’em

Quarterback

Derek Carr @ Ari–  Carr has only scored 15.2 fantasy points in the last two weeks combined, and he’s got the Cardinals defense who held MVP candidate Patrick Mahomes to 249 yards and 2 TDs last week.  Carr will continue his poor performance again this week, he’s on the bench.

Running Back

Tevin Coleman vs Dal   –  I know I said to start Coleman last week because of a great matchup and he ended up with some pretty bad numbers.  So this week in an even worse matchup, he should be on the bench.  The Cowboys have been solid against the run all year and in a game that both teams need to win, I think Coleman is held in check.

Wide Receiver

Mike Evans @ NYG – In the last two weeks, Evans has caught 4 passes for 67 yards and 0 touchdowns.  This week he gets the Giants who haven’t allowed a touchdown to a receiver since week 7. Evans is a risky play this week.

Tight End

Jordan Thomas @ Wsh –  Thomas has scored 3 touchdowns in his last two games, but I’m still keeping him out of my lineup.  The Redskins have been pretty good against opposing tight ends this year.  Expect a low scoring week from Thomas.
