#SoccerSaturdays: European Derby Weekend

Welcome to another #SoccerSaturday installment and happy weekend everybody!

For those of you that are soccer fans, what a monumental weekend we have ahead of ourselves. It’s a weekend where Goliath meets David, where titans clash! One weekend where a teams’ season dream may come to an end our fruition. Honestly, the weekend we as soccer fans all look forward. So, without further ado, let me share with you the action happening this weekend across the major leagues of soccer in Europe.

El Derby de Madrid – Atletico Madrid vs. Real Madrid.

Atletico Madrid vs Real Madrid Prediction and Betting Tips - MrFixitsTips

What a clash we have coming this Sunday at 10:15AM. A massive battle between Diego Simeone’s army vs. Zinedine Zidane’s Real Madrid.

For Atletico, this is a match that could very well seal the deal this year and move them just that much closer to the La Liga title. You will find a hungry and eager Luis Suarez who is having his best season yet in his career after making the move from Camp Nou to El Calderon.

While Atletico has failed to pull a victory in the last 9 times these two have met (5 Draws, 4 losses), It is more than ever important for Atletico to show why they deserve this years’ trophy more than any other club in La Liga.

Meanwhile, Real Madrid comes into this match with a massive need for a win. Zidane’s side needs to claw in every way possible to compete for the title if they want to maintain their legitimacy alive despite all the injury issues this year. My prediction for this match is a 3-2 victory for Atletico.

Der Klassiker – Bayern Munich vs. Borussia Dortmund.

Bundesliga | How do Borussia Dortmund and Bayern Munich stack up?

Another ONE! (Insert DJ Khaled voice here). Seriously though, what an absolute clash between two massive titans. Both of these teams are in serious contention for the Champions League but the Bundesliga paints a completely different picture. In the Bundesliga, Dortmund is 5th and Bayern is 2nd trailing to first place by a point. So, what are the stakes here today?

For Bayern Munich, it is essential for them to win this match in order to go back and reign the Bundesliga. Otherwise, the RB Leipzig reign might be soon to start!

For Dortmund, their needs to capitalize this win and get back into contention are gigantic. I believe in this match Eerling Haaland will make his presence be felt and it could spell chaos for Bayern Munich if they don’t find a solution fast in the first half!

My prediction is a victory for Dortmund and Bayern will find themselves in a situation where they have finally met their match this year.

Manchester Derby! United vs. City.

Last but not least! The match the premier league has been waiting for all year is here! Manchester Derby is right around the corner and this one is such a hard one to predict.

Manchester United have a good bit of stats on their side having won 3 out of the past 5 encounters between these two. A draw between these two and City having won 1 out of those matches.

For United, this will be as essential and as determining as it could ever be for them this year. The past three matches prior to this, the Devils have managed to leave a lot on the table and walk away with minimal points which now have put their second place status at risk as Leicester and Chelsea are right behind them by minimal differences.

Meanwhile, Manchester City has nothing to lose in this match. The dominant performance this season by Pep Guardiola and company has been outstanding. In fact, I would go out to say on record that I think City could be the world’s 2nd best team only trailing to Bayern Munich by minimal differences.

So what can we expect tomorrow? Quite frankly, it will be a competitive match but I think this could go to a 2-1 score for either side. My only dilemma will be the officiating as Anthony Taylor has been shaky as of late with his officiating and it could leave to lots of controversy to come after this match.

In Conclusion…
