Snacks For Super Wild Card Weekend
It’s the eve of the NFL postseason. Tomorrow, football fans begin another journey as they get to witness dreams becoming one step closer to reality and dreams coming to an end. With the NFL postseason about to begin that means many things. It means exciting football, even more horrible calls by refs, and of course, snacks, lots and lots of snacks. That’s right, we’re doing it again. Fun/food Friday is officially back for the NFL postseason! Now, let’s get into it. Here are some snacks for super wild card weekend! Specifically, what snack we all should be having for each matchup this weekend!
Raiders vs Bengals- pigs in a blanket
It’s starting to become late afternoon as kickoff is about to happen. Most likely you have a beer in hand and looking for something to chow down on. Pigs in a blanket is the perfect snack to get things rolling for super wild card weekend. They’re easy to hold, easy to eat and most importantly, very delicious. It’s important to have a snack that will compliment the drink you’re having and pigs in a blanket can go well with just about anything.
Patriots vs Bills- chicken wings (any sauce with the wings)
It’s a known fact that all football fans love their wings, especially Bills Mafia. Chicken wings are an essential for this game too. It’s the late game on Saturday night and could possibly be the best game of the weekend. For that reason, chicken wings are a must for this game. Any sauce will do for this matchup as there will be high emotions throughout this game for all players and fans. Chicken wings are comfort food and we all will need comfort throughout this matchup.
Eagles vs Buccaneers- Chips and dip
Get the party started with chips and dip on Sunday. The matchup is going to be bland so the food is going to have to be the main attraction to start off on Sunday. There’s so many dips to choose from as well as chips. Some essential dips are, buffalo chicken dip, bean dip, guacamole and of course, regular salsa. As for chips, the best two out there for dipping are the Tostitos scoops and Ruffles original chips.
49ers vs Cowboys- mozzarella sticks
Time whip them out. They’ve been waiting to be eaten, you’ve been waiting to eat them, so now it’s time. With a lot of history between the 49ers and Cowboys, bring out a snack that historically puts smiles on everyone’s face no matter what. Even if this game won’t make people happy, the food certainly will. You can never go wrong with mozzarella sticks.
Steelers vs Chiefs- sliders
Sliders are heavily underrated. This matchup between the Steelers and Chiefs isn’t underrated though. But, it makes sense. Kansas City has good barbeque and the Steelers… well we all need something enjoyable to eat when watching the Steelers. Sliders are so universal anyone can do anything with them. A highly underrated slider are chicken and waffle sliders.
Cardinals vs Rams- beer
Granted every snack listed before should be accompanied with a beer or some kind of beverage. But, for this game just have a beer. You just went through a gauntlet of eating, just pour yourself a beer and enjoy the final game of super wild card weekend. Or better yet, if there’s any leftovers enjoy those too as well with the beer of your choice!
