Shorthanded Celtics Battle The Knicks Tonight
The Celtics battle the New York Knicks tonight at the T.D. Garden. On paper, this should be an easy win. I mean, this is the same team that beat the Milwaukee Bucks two nights earlier. This time around, things are going to look a little bit different. This Celtics team will be short-handed, to say the least.
#NEBHInjuryReport for tomorrow vs New York:
Jaylen Brown (illness) – QUESTIONABLE
Enes Kanter (left knee contusion) – OUT
Daniel Theis (left ankle sprain) – PROBABLE— Boston Celtics (@celtics) October 31, 2019
Enes Kanter continues to be out with a left knee contusion. Jaylen Brown missed the shootaround this morning with an illness. The list goes on and on. And oh BUDDY, does it get worse!
Robert Williams Is Now Doubtful For Tonight
#NEBHInjuryReport Robert Williams has also been termed as doubtful with a left-hip injury.

This is tough to hear when the bigs are limited at the moment. Tacko Fall is in Maine with the Red Claws. So, let’s throw that narrative out the window. Williams is a big presence who knows his role on the floor. He’s a rebounder, clogs the lane, and can finish around the rim. Losing him along with Kanter is not great at the moment. But, we’ll see just how good this Celtics team is undermanned like they currently show.
These Injuries Shouldn’t Matter Though
The Celtics are flat out better than the Knicks. This should still be an extremely winnable game for the Celtics. The Knicks are young and still learning to play with each other. They have a great young player in R.J. Barrett and other help such as old friend Marcus Morris. I don’t care how injured this Celtics team is currently! They have no excuse to lose this game.
In Conclusion
Will I still be glued to my television for this game? Of course! The Celtics have brought me back to loving watching them again. This team will have more adversity as the season continues. But, we’ll take it one game at a time. Let’s go Celtics!
