Sergio Aguero Retires From Football

What has been an already busy day for the world of sports, has become an even busier one as Sergio Aguero retires.

Following a special press conference, Barcelona FC announces the Argentine retires from the world of football (soccer) due to a heart condition.

Sergio’s Announcement

Earlier in the year, Sergio was seen leaving the pitch with what appeared to be a case of chest pains. It would be until recent, that Sergio was diagnosed with Arrhythmia.

Following the finding, and after many weeks of further thinking, Sergio Aguero made his announcement today in front of Barcelona’s management board and other special guests.

Among the guests in today’s announcement would be his long-time coach, Pep Guardiola as spotted per sources.

Sergio’s Career and Legacy

The departure of this legend from the sport is one that will certainly be felt around the world.

Sergio’s legacy is one of its own kind. For starters, the Argentine superstar started his career at a very young age with Argentine-League side, CA Independiente. In his years with this club, Sergio was already destined to be an absolute star as in his three year stun with the club, he appeared in 54 occasions and scored 23 goals with them.

In 2006, Sergio would make the career move of his lifetime as he joined Spanish side, Atletico de Madrid. At the time of his move, Atletico was then coached by Javier Aguirre. For Sergio, the move gave him an opportunity which he fully took and that was to rise to stardom. Especially as the move would pair him with then megastar striker, Diego Forlan. Years after, Sergio and Atletico would go to win the UEFA Europa League and in 2011, Sergio would leave the Spanish side.

The departure from Spain was a harsh one, especially as Atletico fans weren’t very keen of it. However, a move that would deepen his story and take it to new heights.
