Ranking Which Celtics Player Listens to Wonderwall Most

Four score and seven years ago, Oasis came out with a classic rock hit.

1995 was a simpler time, wasn’t it? Pre-pandemic, the Cowboys were still America’s team, and the Red Sox hadn’t won it all since 1918.

What is this?

A ranking of the top 5 Celtics most likely to listen to Wonderall.

Why are you doing this?

What are you my mother? Shut up.

On to the rankings.

Number 5 – Enes Kanter

The large man from Turkey absolutely listens to Wonderwall.

If the sweet touch around the rim, offensive rebounding prowess, and middling defensive statistics weren’t enough of an explanation for you, let me tell you this…

Kanter definitely sings the chorus to Tacko Fall. He just does. I haven’t heard it, but really I have. I feel it in my bones.

“Because maybe… (Enes and Tacko both start to laugh)

You’re gonna be the one that saves me…. (Carsen Edwards starts to hum along)

And after all… (now Tacko is laughing while Enes stares lovingly at him)…

You’re my wonderwall” (now they all break out in laughter).

This happens and it warms my cold, dead, heart.

Number 4 – Grant Williams

Grant is, by all accounts, a stellar guy and teammate.

He bought everyone on the Celtics staff a candle, if you recall.

He loves Catan.

Grant is super affable and even when he makes mistakes, he laughs about it.

Williams is the kind of teammate who definitely always has this classic stuck in his head and can’t stop singing it.

He is positive and fun, and definitely thinks its hilarious when Jaylen starts to actually get annoyed at him.

But then again, it’s Grant. So they all just keep laughing.

Number 3 – Marcus Smart

Marcus Smart definitely likes Wonderwall.

Something about it he digs.

Marcus just hangs out on the plane and jams out to this song sometimes.

He knows every word.

Marcus also, we know, loves his music. And as a fellow musical artist, he certainly respects the classics.

Also, Marcus is always the one who saves us.

He actually is my Wonderwall…

But I digress.

Number 2 – Tommy Heinsohn

I never said it had to be current Celtics, did I?

Tommy heard this song and said, “Hey, this song right here is pretty good!”

The 85 year old absolutely gives a Tommy point to Oasis for this ear worm classic.

Tommy also is known to have a creative side.

We KNOW the Celtics legend appreciates old school, and while this is not old school for him, this is still in the real of his preference of things from he past.

He definitely loves the smooth way this song flows from our ears and into our hearts.

My final point is the Liam Gallagher, who croons the Rock hit, is only 5’10”. Small for basketball.

The Little Guy!! Also, Marcus really makes this play, not IT. MY WONDERWALL!

Number 1 – Kemba Walker

Finally, of course, we have the obvious answer.

Kemba listens to Future etc on the way to a game, but at home, before a game, it is different.

He has said that he likes calmer music – to chill out.

Wonderwall really fits the bill here, and you knew he’d dig it.

Kemba, since THE SHOT in the big east tournament, the one nobody can stop thinking about. He is the focal point of every offense he has been in.

That is, until Tatum became the focal point.

However, Kemba still runs the show.

Kemba identifies with the producer of the hit (Noel Gallagher) even if Tatum probably is his brother Liam.

For those reasons, Kemba Walker definitely likes, and listens to, Wonderwall the most on the Celtics.

Final Thoughts

You can’t disagree with me, these are scientific facts. I hope you can comprehend this Galaxy Brain content.

Lastly – for Smarf:

And all the roads that lead you to an NBA title are winding
And all the lights that light the way are blinding
There are many things that I
Would like to say to you but I don’t know how
I said maybe, you’re gonna be the one that wins the NBA title
And after all, you’re my wonderwall
