Kyrie Irving: “I think it would be nice if we had someone that was a 15-year vet, a 14-year vet that could kind of help us race along the regular season and understand it’s a long marathon rather than just a full-on sprint.”

I think I know exactly how Michael Scott felt after he found out Toby was coming back to Dunder Mifflin:
There are currently no reports indicating that the Celtics plan on going after Carmelo Anthony if he’s waived by the Houston Rockets. I’m merely putting pieces together based on what Kyrie said last night and his impending free agency, and honestly, I don’t like what the picture is coming out to look like.
Dear basketball gods, please just send Melo to the Lakers so he can play with LeBron and take away valuable minutes from their young guys instead. Because what this Celtics team is lacking right now is leadership, a quality Melo has proven he doesn’t possess. He won’t play defense, he can barely score, and he complains about pretty much everything. Keep that toxic energy as far away from Boston as possible. He’s the absolute LAST thing they need in that locker room right now.
