Patriots Owner Robert Kraft to Auction Super Bowl LI Ring
Patriots owner Robert Kraft was nominated by, founder of Fanatics, Michael Rubin to take part in the #AllInChallenge. The All In Challenge has been taking the internet by storm, almost as fast as the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge. The efforts help to raise money for people affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. Robert Kraft stated that he spent weeks mulling over what would be the best prize to give away. He came to the conclusion that he would be auctioning off his ring from Super Bowl LI. Remember, this was one of the greatest comeback victories of all time.

Kraft and the New England Patriots have been very philanthropic throughout the pandemic. In the video of this announcement, Kraft said, “And I thought about what is going on at this time and wanted to give something of extreme value in support of our health care workers. So I thought it would be good to give this ring, our fifth Super Bowl win, because it showed how we came back.”
What Does The Winner Get?
The winner of the auction will also have the chance to meet Robert Kraft and see all 6 Lombardi trophies. If the winner is from the New England area, the Patriots will send a car to pick them up. If the winner isn’t local, Kraft will be picking them up in style. He’ll use his private plane to bring them to Gillette Stadium. “We’re going to have a good time as I give you this ring, show you around, and maybe have a bite or two.” It sounds like the winner of the auction will be in for an absolute treat.
The opening bid was for $75,000 and has quickly risen to $650,000, as of 5/11/20.
If you’d like to participate in the auction, that will be running until May 21, 2020, and get more information, visit here.
