Through the first six weeks of the NFL Season every analyst in the league had Russell Wilson as the 2020 Most Valuable Player. However, after two straight losses and multiple end zone interceptions it seems as if the Wilson magic is running out. After a magnificent 5-0 start to the season the Seahawks have watched the #1 seed in the NFC slip away. Aaron Rodgers is another one of the top three current favorites to win the award. Now, lets not forget his absolute nightmare of a game where Tampa blew out the Packers 38-10. Rodgers threw for just 160 yards with two interceptions. Mahomes currently has an 8-1 record with an eye opening 25 Touchdowns to ONE Interception.

For anyone who watched Aaron Rodgers struggle to beat the Jaguars at home this weekend you know exactly why he is dropping in the race. Jacksonville came in as a large underdog and played a tight game with the Packers late into the fourth quarter. The Seahawks have lost all momentum they had after their 5-0 start and Wilson went from a unanimous favorite to arguably third or fourth in the race now. Both of these phenomenal quarterbacks have seem to hit a wall while Kyler Murray and Tom Brady soar into the Top 5 conversation. Tom Brady came into the season as a Top 10 MVP favorite but rapidly declined after the blowout Saints game where they lost 38-3. However, Tom off a loss is still something special. This past Sunday Brady put up 46 points in a lopsided win vs. the Carolina Panthers as the Bucs improved to 7-3. Murray indeed had his MVP moment with a wild Hail Mary pass to beat the Bills this Sunday. If he goes into Seattle tonight and beats Wilson, the world will start to vouge for his MVP case.
The Chiefs are currently 8-1 coming off their bye. The Chiefs will play a showdown on Monday Night vs. the Las Vegas Raiders who handed KC their only loss of the season. Expect a huge win for the Chiefs especially when Andy Reid has had a bye week to reach deep into his bag of tricks. In reality, Mahomes is my favorite to win the award due to the fact he can actually finish this season with a 14-2 record. As a stat line, I have Mahomes projected to finish with 43 TD’s and 4 INT’s. Do not be surprised if this Quarterback comes home with another MVP and Lombardi Trophy in 2020.
