N’Keal Harry was a bust for the New England Patriots!
This is a trade that was a long time coming. For three years now, New England Patriots fans have had to suffer watching N’Keal Harry on the field. We were all wondering when his first round talent would be on display. Well, it never really panned out that way. Yesterday, the New England Patriots traded away former 2019 first round pick N’Keal Harry to the Chicago Bears in exchange for a 2024 7th round pick.

The N’Keal Harry Patriots era was a HUGE bust!
N’Keal Harry’s tenure in New England is a huge bust. I mean, it’s really that simple. N’Keal Harry came in with high expectations in 2019. Then he gets hurt for the first half of his rookie season and never panned out with the Patriots. In three seasons, Harry had four touchdown receptions. Four! That’s not what you’re looking for out of a first round pick. In 2021, Harry was more of a blocker than actual receiver. That’s when you basically knew that this draft pick wasn’t going to pan out.
The trade was absolutely necessary
Look, at the end of the day; the trade to the Chicago Bears was completely necessary for both sides involved. Bill Belichick knew that N’Keal Harry wasn’t going to be a part of the long-term plans for the Patriots. N’Keal Harry himself even asked for a trade request last July. So when you put those two factors together, this trade makes perfect sense.
The Patriots can move on with their wide receiving core of Kendrick Bourne, Nelson Agholor, Jakobi Meyers, and DeVante Parker. The Bears get a former first round pick for basically nothing. Everyone wins in that sense. So good luck to N’Keal Harry. I genuinely hope you find more success in Chicago than you did with the New England Patriots. But this move was necessary for everyone!
