NFL Sunday Standouts
Tonight week one of the NFL season concludes with the Baltimore Ravens visiting the Las Vegas Raiders. As usual, there were many surprises to kick off the first Sunday of the season. Between rookie debuts, and veterans playing on new teams for the first time, Sunday was a very entertaining day. Who stood out yesterday? These are the NFL Sunday standouts of week one!
Jameis Winston Quarterback New Orleans Saints

Jameis Winston had himself a day. Assuming neither Derrek Carr or Lamar Jackson don’t pop off tonight like Winston did, after week one Jameis Winston is your passing touchdown leader at five. Yes, five touchdowns. Winston lead the Saints 38-3 route over the Green Bay Packers going 14-20, throwing for 148 yards and of course, five touchdowns. Winston kept plays alive with his legs and showed off his arm strength with long throws down the field. For Winston and the Saints, this is the perfect way to start the season.
Chandler Jones Defensive End Arizona Cardinals
Chandler Jones is the early front runner for defensive player of the year. In a game that was expected to be high scoring, the Arizona Cardinals went into Tennessee and shut down the Titans. Jones lead the defensive effort with five sacks (three in the opening quarter), six total tackles, four tackles for loss, and two forced fumbles. Yes, three sacks in the first quarter. The Cardinals defense held the Titans to just 13 points in their 38-13 win. Cardinals and all other football fans should expect Chandler Jones to have more monster games like this.
Tyreek Hill Wide Receiver Kansas City Chiefs

Tyreek Hill had a a dominating day quietly. Yes, Hill shined for Kansas City and it isn’t being talked about. So how’d he do? Hill had 11 receptions for 197 receiving yards and a touchdown. Almost 200 yards receiving and that isn’t one of the dominating headlines in the NFL. Hill helped the Chiefs come from behind to defeat the Cleveland Browns 33-29 in what was one of the most anticipated matchups this weekend. As always, expect Tyreek Hill to put up big numbers every week.
Kyler Murray Quarterback Arizona Cardinals

Kyler Murray concludes the NFL Sunday standouts of week one. Murray had his way with the Tennessee defense on Sunday as he was responsible for five total touchdowns. His favorite target was Deandre Hopkins who he threw two touchdowns to in the first half. Overall, Murray went 21-32, 289 passing yards with four passing touchdowns and an interception. Murray also ran in a touchdown. Arizona’s offense is going to be a problem for all defenses this year with Kyler Murray leading the charge.
