Per @MikeSilver, the #Jets got a 3rd rounder for Teddy Bridgewater. Same round as the #Bills got for Tyrod Taylor. https://t.co/MGcMbETonQ

It’s about damn time.
This move was bound to happen eventually, but the New York Jets have finally traded Teddy Bridgwater. He’s heading to the Saints, where he will be the back-up for Drew Brees. Apparently the Jets were on their team bus when the news broke, so they had to stop and let him off, which I find hilarious. But anyways, in exchange, the Saints will be sending New York a third-round draft pick. I’d say this is a pretty solid trade for both sides.
For Bridgewater’s sake, I was hoping he’d get sent somewhere he can compete for a starting job, but this isn’t the worst scenario. Unlike New York, New Orleans actually has a stable franchise. I honestly think I’d rather live in some boring ass state like North Dakota than be back-up QB for one of the worst franchises in the league. But either way, Bridgewater is with a playoff team now, so I’m happy for him. And if Brees does go down (not saying I want him to), Bridgewater can prove that he still has what it takes to be a starter in the NFL. I just hope everything works out for him.
