Netflix Review: Sex Education
Netflix’s new coming of age story, Sex Education, focuses on a teen duo who runs a interesting sex/relationship therapy session at school daily.
Otis, the main character plays the actual therapist while Maeve runs the business side of it and gets clients. This show’s first season is an interesting spin on the everyday life of high schools across America and the Western world.
Eric and Otis
Most coming of age shows nowadays are raunchy teenage flicks but for this show, it’s about more than that. The characters have shown great development just over the span of 8 episodes.
Otis and Maeve
I love how it strictly focuses on the love lives of the students, not necessarily the school work or other activities that occur in regular high school students days.
One question I do have for a possible second season is: I wonder how different the plot would be if Otis wasn’t a virgin himself.
How different his successful advice he would give the students who come to him for help.
Does this thing with Ola develop and eventually lead to sex, changing his perception on what it takes to land a girl?
