MLB’s Real Home Run King Passes Away

This one hurts. Big time! My words can not and will not do him justice in the slightest, but I’m giving it a shot. Hank Aaron,, the true All-time Home Run Champion, passes away at the age of 86. Aaron was one of the greatest hitters this sport has ever seen. Standing in at 6 feet and 180 pounds, Aaron was able to amass a career of a .305 batting average while most notably hitting a career 755 Home Runs. What he overcame and how he conducted himself on a daily basis is truly remarkable. When closing in on Babe Ruth’s recor, most notably, never mind the brutal hatred that he faced only because he is an African-American man playing baseball but the hatred he was getting from Babe Ruth’s family and especially his wife. None of that got in his way to making baseball history by not only catching Babe Ruth’s all time mark of 714 but adding another 41 bombs just for good measure. No words will do Aaron’s career and accomplishments justice.

Any young baseball fan needs to learn about the role this great man played in shaping the game over baseball both on and off the field. He will be forever enshrined in baseball immortality. My future kids will grow up knowing who he is and what he has done to make the game of baseball such a great sport. Rest in Peace Hammering Hank. The true Home Run king and an all around amazing man. You will be missed! From a die-hard and life long baseball fan, thank you!
