Mahomes.Brady. You can’t ask for a Better Super Bowl Sunday.

We are hours away from the biggest game of the NFL season and it’s going to be a classic. Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs take on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. This is their first Super Bowl appearance since 2002.

What a great story this Sunday is going to have for us. Tom Brady, 43, still competing at an all time high, six rings, multiple MVP’s, is going against the new face of the NFL, former MVP Patrick Mahomes, who is only 25. The last time these two met in the postseason was in the AFC title game a couple years back and honestly, it was one the greatest games in NFL history. Mahomes had the opportunity to dethrone Brady and his success but he came up short. Brady went onto win his 6th Lombardi while Mahomes had to wait another year.

Well, here’s Mahomes second chance. This time its in the Super Bowl and Brady playing for his new team. Mahomes already had success during the regular season against Brady, beating the Bucs 27-24. However, this Bucs team is a way different team now compared to the team they were in Week 12.

Mahomes, to me, has a lot of pressure on him Sunday. Brady does also, thats what makes Super Bowl Sunday so special this year. Brady is so motivated to prove to the league and the critics that this league, is still in fact, his league. Mahomes, on the other hand, needs to show the world that he is ready to dethrone Brady and start his own dynasty.

Losing to Brady would hover over him the rest of his career, even if he wins multiple Super Bowls. Brady losing to Mahomes will give people more of excuse to talk about why Brady isn’t on Mahomes level, which is just completely not correct but people will still do it.

I hope that this game is a classic, as it should be. Both teams will be ready and both teams have something to prove. Super Bowl Sunday is going to be something special.
