Looks Like Dwayne Haskins Wants to Go Home

Quarterback Dwayne Haskins is widely considered the best quarterback in the 2019 NFL Draft. After posting a 50 touchdown 8 interception season with Ohio State in 2018, scouts started putting him in the top of mock drafts simultaneously.

The team that most predict will snatch Haskins in the 2019 NFL Draft is the quarterback’s hometown New York Giants. And based off of his actions on social media yesterday, it looks like the Ohio State product is buying into the idea of heading back to New Jersey.

Photo edit Tweeted by Dwayne Haskins yesterday. The post has since been deleted.

The post of him in the Giants jersey has since been deleted off Twitter, but Haskins also posted edited pictures of himself on his Instagram story. His story consists of pics of him in Bengal, Dolphin, Jaguar, Redskin, Buccaneer, and Giant jerseys. The one of him sporting “NY” on his helmet was last and captioned with a drooling emoji.

Haskins going back to New Jersey is the perfect fit for both him and the G-Men. I already wrote about how bringing back Eli Manning is a mistake, and Haskins would be able to replace the 2x Super Bowl champ. Haskins’ along with Barkley, Odell Beckham Jr., Evan Engram, and Sterling Sheppard could really become a scary offense if Haskins plays up to his potential.

We will see what happens come this April’s draft, but I think the fit just makes too much sense for Haskins to end up anywhere else.
