Lock, Fade And Stay Away NFL (9/27/20)

If you want the rest of my lock(s), and all of Fiesta’s make sure that you are following us on twitter (@thechasers617). Also make sure to give us a follow and a listen on Sound Cloud (@thechasers) as well.

Lock(s):

Atlanta Falcons -3 (1.1u/1u)

The Falcons are in desperation mode today in their matchup against the Bears. If Atlanta loses they will go to 0-3 and will be looking like they will be heading towards a massive shake up soon. Atlanta lost last week after holding multiple double digit leads. The Falcons are going to need their defense to step up big time this week. Unfortunately they are without A.J. Terrell, but they are facing a Bears offense that has been average through the first two weeks so far. Julio Jones is a game time decision, but even if he doesn’t play I love the Falcons in this play. Lock in Atlanta at -3 as I don’t see them losing this one today. I am risking 1.1 units to make 1 unit in this one.

Arizona Cardinals -5.5 (1.1u/1u)

The last time that the Arizona Cardinals hosted the Detroit Lions was Kylar Murray’s coming out party. Week One of last season this game ended in a tie, but this time around both teams look a lot different. Arizona is a favorite and the Lions are on the verge of being 0-3. Good news for the Lions is that they will finally have Kenny Golladay back for the first time this season to help Matthew Stafford out. Arizona’s offense has been lethal through two weeks and I see that trend continuing today. The Hopkins/Murray duo has been electric so far this season and I am riding with them until further notice. Lock in the Cardinals -5.5 in this one as I am risking 1.1 units to make 1 in this one.

Fade:

Cleveland Browns -7

I still don’t understand how the Browns are seven point favorites against the Washington Football Team. Washington’s young team has looked alright so far this season, while the Browns almost blew a big lead last Thursday to the Bengals. What Baker Mayfield do we get today? That is my big issue whenever deciding on whether or not I like the Browns in any spot. One thing that is really pushing me away from the Browns today is that Washington has won their last three meetings against Cleveland. I know they play once every four years, but a trend is a trend. Cleveland is real banged up on defense, and I have a trust issue with Baker still. I am fading the Browns in this spot, I think they will let down anyone who bets on them today.

Stay Away:

New Orleans Saints -3

This is the biggest trap game of the entire day. Sunday Night Football we got the Green Bay Packers going on the road to take on the Saints. This doesn’t have as much hype as it has had in years past. Drew Brees looked like a shell of himself on Monday Night Football against the Raiders. Without Michael Thomas it didn’t look like the Saints offense was affective unless Alvin Kamara had the ball in his hands. The fact that the Saints are three point favorites over a Green Bay team that has looked unstoppable is ridiculous. I know Green Bay might not have Davante Adams, but I would trust Rodgers and his receivers before Drew Brees right now. Stay far far away from the Saints in this one, as they will hurt your hearts.
