Lock, Fade And Stay Away (9/3/20)

If you want the rest of my red hot lock(s), and all of Fiesta’s lock(s) make sure to follow us on twitter (@thechasers617). Also give our podcast a listen on soundcloud (@thechasers)

Lock(s):

Over 223 (Denver Nuggets vs Los Angeles Clippers) (1.1u/1u)

The Denver Nuggets are coming off an emotional high after a grueling seven game series against the Utah Jazz. Meanwhile the Clippers won their First Round Series against Dallas in six games. Los Angeles has had a couple of days off, and you have to think that the Nuggets have some wear and tear after that long hard fought series. I think the Clippers offense is going to start off hot and on the right foot, while Denver’s offense will struggle early on. I love the over in this matchup and it is a lock for me tonight. Look for the Clippers to be in the 120’s range scoring wise, while Denver will be high nineties, low hundreds scoring wise. Lock in the over in this one as I am risking 1.1 units to make 1 unit.

Philadelphia Flyers EVEN (1u/1u)

The Philadelphia Flyers came out guns blazing in Game Five’s 4-3 win over the Islanders. Philadelphia was up 3-1 in the third period before the Islanders tied it up and sent it into overtime. The Islanders are going to look to try and end this tonight, so that they can get ready to meet Tampa Bay in the Eastern Conference Final. Unforunately for them, I see the Flyers forcing this to seven games. Watch the Flyers look to come out of the gate blazing again and look to get ahead early, and contain the lead this time. Lock in the Flyers moneyline tonight as it is at even money and I am risking 1 unit to make 1 unit.

Fade:

New York Mets -123

The New York Mets have seen this pitching matchup play out already in recent days. As tonight’s pitching matchup has J.A. Happ for the Yankees going up against Robert Gsellman for the Mets. I think the Yankees coming off their rough losing series to their division rival Tampa Bay Rays are going to come out on top on this one. The Yankees took three out their five meetings over the weekend, and I believe they start it off on the right foot tonight. With that logic, and my trust in J.A. Happ; fade the New York Mets tonight. Yes I know, I have faith in J.A. Happ tonight and you should too.

Stay Away:

Boston Red Sox +1.5 (-135)

I think the Boston Red Sox are following every time that I am picking against them for the most parts. Here is another one tonight where I am staying away from them on the run line tonight. First reason is that Taijuan Walker looked very good in his Blue Jays debut, and the second reason is that the Blue Jays have been great as of late. This Boston lineup is good, but their pitching staff is abysmal. I think Walker holds the Red Sox to under two runs for his outing, while Martin Perez will give up more than three runs tonight. Stay far far away from the Red Sox on the run line here.
