Lock, Fade And Stay Away (8/8/20)

If you want the rest of my locks, and if you want to see Fiesta’s locks make sure you follow us on twitter (@thechasers617)

Indiana Pacers +7

The Indiana Pacers have been very good in the bubble, but the last time I took them as a lock they did disappoint me against the Phoenix Suns. One big thing that is making me take them again today is because they are playing the Lakers. Obviously the Lakers are the better team than the Pacers, but they already locked up the one seed so what are they playing for. This matchup favors the Pacers to cover this spread, no matter if the Lakers play LeBron and/or Anthony Davis today. Lock in the Pacers at +7 in this matchup also because they are 5-1-1 against the spread in their last seven games.

Atlanta Braves -115

The Braves are coming off a walk off home run by Nick Markakis on Thursday night against the Blue Jays. Atlanta is also 7-2 straight up in their last nine games as well. They have struggled against the Phillies as they are 2-4 in their last six matchups, but I do believe that the Braves lineup will prevail to be huge tonight. In tonight’s pitching matchup we have Kyle Wright for the Braves going up against Jake Arrieta for the Phillies.

Arrieta did not look good in his first start of the season against the Yankees, which is leading me to fade away from the Phillies. With that being said the Braves are another of my locks because of their talent in their lineup from top to bottom.

Tampa Bay Lightning -1.5 (+180)

I really like the Flyers today in the matchup for the number one seed in the Eastern Conference Playoffs. Philadelphia has been one of the biggest surprises all season long, and I would love to see them lock up that number one seed in the East. Here is the thing, I know the Tampa Bay Lightning are going to win this game, but only by a goal. This matchup goalie wise is going to be good as both starting goalies have been spectacular in their first two round robin games. Both teams have looked very good in their first two games offensively and defensively. This is going to be a really close game, and probably one of the best that we have seen this far in the bubble. Fade away from the puck line due to the fact that Tampa Bay has won both games by a goal a piece.

Stay Away:

Under 225 (Phoenix vs Miami)

The Phoenix Suns are the hottest team in the bubble right now. This team has come from out of no where and is looking to take that eighth seed in the Western Conference. Devin Booker and company have been fantastic and will look to continue their bubble magic today against the Jimmy Butler less Miami Heat. Miami has been fantastic as well, besides the huge collapse against Milwaukee on Thursday. This game looks like there is going to be a lot of scoring in it. Phoenix hasn’t scored lower than 114 while the Heat have scored less than 110 once. Lot of points in this one so stay far away from the under today in this one.
