Lock, Fade And Stay Away (7/31/20)

Atlanta Braves -140

Atlanta’s lineup has been good for the most part of the season. They just finished a four game series where they split two games a piece with the Tampa Bay Rays. Now they start a four game series at home against the Mets which they took two out of three from the first three games they played in this season. Tonight’s pitching matchup is Rick Porcello vs Sean Newcomb. Porcello lasted only 2 innings in his Mets debut, giving up six runs and only striking out one batter. Atlanta is 14-6 straight up in their last twenty games at home, and 6-2 in their last eight home games against the Mets. I am locking in the Braves tonight due to the fact that they already destroyed Porcello this season.

Sacramento Kings -155

The Sacramento Kings were clicking before the temporary shut down on the NBA season. They were starting to work their way into potential contention for the eighth seed in the Western Conference and will show you tonight. Sacramento is 7-3 straight up in their last ten games, and 4-1 straight up in their last five games against the Spurs. The Kings I believe are the better team and should show it tonight. With that being said, I am locking the Kings in tonight on the moneyline.

Portland Trailblazers -3

The Trailblazers are taking on the Grizzlies in their first game of the restart. Portland was very good against the mediocre teams, and inconsistent when it came to playing the playoff caliber teams this season. The Trailblazers are looking to make some noise to become the eighth seed in the Western Conference, but they will hit a roadblock tonight. In Portland’s last twelve games, the Trailblazers are 4-8 against the spread. Memphis is a tough team and will play Portland very tough today in their matchup. Fade the Trailblazers due to how tough Memphis is going to make it on them.

Stay Away:

Orlando Magic -7

Orlando is coming in as a big favorite today against the Nets. I know the Nets are missing the majority of their team, and is still sitting at the seventh spot, but I don’t think that the Magic are going to walk all over them tonight. Orlando was riding a little hot streak gambling wise as they are 8-1 against the spread in their last nine games. Today as a seven point favorite, I don’t like their odds to cover. Even with a deplited Nets team, I am staying away from the Magic at -7.
