Lock:
Wyoming -3 (2.26u/2u)
The Wyoming Cowboys are a three point favorite tonight on the road against Colorado State. This is a surprise to me for two reasons. The first reason is that Wyoming looked very impressive last week against Hawaii. Reason number two is Colorado State is going to be abysmal this season. The Rams are in year one of new head coach Steve Addazio and it is going to be a struggle for them this season.
Now on Wyoming’s side of the field this team looks like it can be competitive with redshirt Freshman Levi Williams under center. I think the Cowboys are going to win this game comfortably, and make all of the Wyoming -3 bettors very happy. Lock in Wyoming -3 as I am risking 2.26 units to make 2 units in this one.
Fade:
Nevada -17.5
The Nevada wolfpack have looked good to start off the season so far. Their wins against Wyoming and UNLV have took them to be a contender in the Mountain West, but tonight I see them struggling against Utah State. Utah State hasn’t looked good in their first two games of the season as they are currently 0-2, but the Aggies always play Nevada tough.
Utah State has won three out of their last four meetings against Nevada including last year when they won 36-10. Also in their last ten meetings the Aggies are 6-4 against the spread against the Wolfpack. I am fading Nevada tonight as a 17.5 point favorite. The wolfpack should win this game in my opinion, but it is going to be a lot closer than expected though.
Stay Away:
Under 48.5 (Green Bay vs San Francisco)
This is the weirdest Thursday Night Football game this season in my opinion. Going into the season you would be talking about this being such a good matchup to watch. With all the injuries from both sides it makes this game unpredictable and you just don’t know what you are going to get tonight. One thing I think we will see is a lot of points being scored. Both of these defenses aren’t great, and Aaron Rodgers should absolutely torch this depleted 49ers defense. Stay away from this under, as I see the over hitting comfortably.
