Lock:
Arkansas State +14 (2.2u/2u)
The Arkansas State Red Wolves are taking on the Appalachian State Mountaineers who are a very good football team tonight. These two teams have only met three times in their career with the upper hand going to Appalachian State, but I think tonight will be different. The Mountaineers have yet to cover against the spread all season long, although it has been off by a couple of points at times this season; I still don’t trust them against the spread. I love the Red Wolves who are 5-1 against the spread in their last six games as well. Lock in the Red Wolves tonight at +14 as I am risking 2.2 units on it to make 2 units.
Fade:
Philadelphia Eagles -4.5
Lets face it, this Philadelphia Eagles team is cursed this year by injuries. They will be without their starting running back, their starting tight end, and they are missing a couple of top of the depth chart wide receivers as well. The only good thing happening for the Eagles right now is that Lane Johnson is probable for the game this week. I just don’t know how that offense is going to get going tonight. Wentz is trusting guys like Boston Scott, Travis Fulgham, Richard Rogers, Corey Clement, and others to make plays on the offensive side of the football tonight. I don’t know how Philly is a favorite to be honest, it could be because the Giants just might be that bad. Tonight though I am fading the Eagles -4.5 as I don’t think they cover this number.
Stay Away:
Over 45 (New York Giants vs Philadelphia Eagles)
This game just doesn’t sound like a shootout to me to be honest. Both offenses have struggled to put up points, and especially like I said above the Eagles offense is in real bad shape right now. If this game were on Sunday I would think Philadelphia would have a chance, but only getting three days to prepare without a bunch of their starting weapons is going to be difficult. On the Giants end of things, they only put up twenty points last week against the Football Team. So I can only imagine what they have in store for us on this Thursday Night Football game. Stay over from the over as this will be a close low scoring affair.
