Little Richard Passes Away at the Age of 87

It’s a sad day in the world of entertainment. Richard Penniman, otherwise known as “Little Richard”, passed away today at the age of 87.

Little Richard was one of the pioneers of Rock and Roll music. You may not recognize his name right off the bat. But stick with me here folks. After this, you’ll have a little better idea of who he was. Or you might at least know something about him. Whatever, here we go!

Commercials and TV Cameos

Remember the famous show “Full House” on television? The episode where Joey runs for president of the PTA at Michelle’s school? Yeah, guess who was in that episode? Little Richard!

Fast forward to 1:05 to avoid Kimmy Gibler, just like the Tanners did for years. But you see how popular he was even in the 1990’s. Little Richard just captivated an audience. He knew how to keep people entertained and how to liven up a show. Even “Full House” when he tells Joey to shut up, it’s just a funny way for him to do it.

There’s also the M.J. and Spike Lee commercial. The genie in that? You guessed it, Little Richard was the genie in that too.

It’s hard to see, but he’s in there. So yeah, Little Richard was quite the guy to get into commercials and television shows back in the day.

Little Richard Hits

Where do I even begin? Tutti Frutti is an absolute classic. Keep a Knockin’ can always get you in the mood to get up and dance.  Good Golly Miss Molly is another one that you just can’t help but love! Those are only a few of his hits. Little Richard is an unbelievable talent that will surely be missed. I wasn’t around for him in his prime. But hearing him years ago, he definitely gets nothing but positive reviews from me.

In Conclusion

RIP to a Rock and Roll legend. Little Richard will always be viewed as a pioneer in the Rock and Roll era. He made his songs unforgettable. The effort he put into every song cannot be taken lightly. So thank you for the numerous amounts of hits, Little Richard. Your legacy will never be forgotten!
