Kyrie Irving is Starting to Scare Me
The Kyrie Irving-Cavs feud continued to grow today when Yahoo Sports dropped this bombshell on us:
For @YahooSportsNBA: Kyrie Irving reportedly threatened to undergo knee surgery and sit out the season if the Cavs didn’t trade him. https://t.co/lPzJ8Ahi1K pic.twitter.com/QPgLXi7qZh

This story is bananas to me for a few reasons. One, the fact that Kyrie would rather have knee surgery than play for the Cavs is HILARIOUS. LeBron is really that much of a pain in the ass that Kyrie would rather sit out for a whole season than even step foot on the same court as him. That’s a new level of petty, which I will forever be a fan of.
But that’s not the part of this story that scares me. The part that’s scaring me is the fact that Kyrie is playing through a knee injury that potentially could require surgery. I know that all athletes do it, but you usually don’t hear about it. Hearing about this, and knowing that he tweaked his knee the other night in LA scares the absolute shit out of me.
Knee injuries are no joke, just ask Derek Rose, Brandon Roy, Penny Hardaway, the list goes on. A lot of big-time athletess have had their careers cut short because of bad knee injuries. I don’t want to see the same happen to Kyrie, who at 25 years old, is going to be the face of the Boston Celtics franchise for maybe the next 10 years if he sticks around.
