Jets Safety Jamal Adams Sends Pat the Patriot to the Hospital
In what will be considered the douche move of the day, Jamal Adams takes the award. The Jets safety decided to tackle the Patriots mascot in front of a group of fans in preparation for the pro bowl. Take a look below:
As you can tell from the video, Adams leaps from his feet at the mascot’s head. Clearly a 15 yard penalty for a hit to a defenseless receiver.
In an interview with ESPN, Adams said
“He was running around and everybody was booing him,ā… āSo I said, āYou know what? Let me go tackle him.ā I didnāt hit him that hard, man. All jokes aside, I didnāt hit him that hard … but they did tell me heās in the hospital.”

However; right after the incident, Adams didn’t seem all that apologetic.
Surely this was a joke, and at first you see a Jets player send a Patriots player to the hospital and your first reaction is anger. But is the entire thing true?
Whether it was a stunt or not, it was still a dirty move. Did he really have to launch himself at the mascot’s head? No. It was probably in good fun and the second year player got carried away. Still, it seems to be a douchebag move.
