Jadon Sancho Joins Manchester United
Manchester United fans went absolutely wild all over Twitter yesterday after news broke of this move. After a year and some more of waiting for this move to happen, Jadon Sancho joins Manchester United, finally!
United had talks with Sancho’s reps last summer, and after a lengthy negotiation period, the deal has finally been made. Sancho will need to go thru medical exams before signing the dotted line.
Sancho has been one of the top prospects even before the Euro 2020 competition began even as he hasn’t seen much play time in the tournament. Now, it’s time answer some questions that United fans must be asking themselves at this time.
How Will United Include Sancho In Their Lineup?
One of the main questions asked at the moment is, how will United lineup with Sancho added to the team?
Part of the reason Manchester United has dealt some struggles along the way is in missing creativity out in the midfield. As of the past couple of years, that dynamic has changed completely. Last year, Bruno Fernandes was given a lethal striker in Edinson Cavani as they aimed to end the season in a high note. As you may know, United turned that season around after a rocky start and ended in 2nd place.
Now, as we await for the official announcement from United. I’d like to share with you how I could see this team start in 2021-2022 season. Take a look:
United desperately needs to change the tone of their game. United’s 4-2-3-1 line up worked in certain instances, but it also forced changes that brought losses in the season.
United should consider a 4-1-2-3 formation that allows them to unleash their offensive game in its totality. Fernandes and Pogba will now have the opportunity to display their creativity while with the support of Jadon Sancho on the right wing.
The Sancho Effect!
So now with Sancho added to the squad in principle, what are some of the effects he brings to this team?
Versatility – This is something that Manchester United desperately needed added. While Daniel James and Mason Greenwood helped big time, it simply just wasn’t as creative and lethal as Sancho’s passing game is. I mean, just look at his previous partnership with Haaland at Dortmund!
Creativity – Sancho has a gift in this arena! His trickery, pace and technicality make him an even more lethal weapon for this team.
Youth – Jadon is 21 years old and one of the best talents brewing for England. His youth offers an opportunity for a sustainable future as the rebuild of this team continues.
The word “excited” for this signing is an under statement if you ask me!
Could United Sign More Players?
Now that Sancho has been signed, there is one more position that seriously needs a uplifting.
For United, last season defensively was seriously challenging especially as injuries and physical exhaustion started to show more and more towards the end of the season. So far, as the Euro 2020 competition has gone on, Maguire and Lindelof have been excellent for their respective national teams. However, as the 2021-2022 season approaches and teams load up offensively, it’s fair to say United needs a boost in center-back position.
